Birth of AGE Studio

AGE Studio is a newly created company (20 September 2006) but built around a team of veteran historical strategy (video) game developers: Europa Universalis I & II (Paradox, >250.000 units sold), Pax Romana (Dreamcatcher, >50.000 units sold), Great Invasions (Nobilis, > 10.000 units sold since July 2005)...
Most of the team members have worked on the above projects (Philippe Thibaut, Philippe Malacher, Robin Pirez, Sandra Duval…) and have joined forces in September 2005 in order to create a new turn-based game, Birth of America, which tells the story of the French & Indian War (1755-1763) and the American War of Independence (1775-1783).
Publisher and distributor
AGEOD has already sold over 20.000 units since 2006, with
almost 2000 sales from its electronic shop (www.ageod.com), the balance being sold through the more
traditional retail market with local partners : Strategy First
for North America, Eastern Europe and Russia, Merscom for
Northern Europe, Nobilis in France,
Friendware in Spain…
Based on this first success, a new game has entered production recently: AGEOD’s American Civil War, which deals with the American Civil War (1861-1865). The game will also be published and distributed by AGEOD, starting in March 2007.
Thus the team has acquired and confirmed an experience that pushed its
members to set up last September 2006 a production studio, in order to get more
means for more ambitious projects.
